Privacy Policy

1. Controller

The data controller is ASTROVERSE, {{COMPANY_ADDRESS}}, {{COMPANY_COUNTRY}}. You can reach us via the contact form or at hello.astroverse@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address; optional display name and avatar.
• Profile birth data: name, birth date, birth time, birth place, optionally gender. These are standard personal data under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance — generating the astrological calculations you requested). We do not treat this information as special-category data under Article 9 GDPR.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.
• Usage and device data: log entries, IP address (masked), device and browser information, page interactions.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy.
• Community content: profile information, messages, gifts you choose to send within the in-app community.
• Contact messages: the content of any message you send us via the contact form.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Provide the service (Art. 6(1)(b) — contract): generate readings, charge credits, deliver community features.
• Marketing and non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) — consent): only with your opt-in.
• Security, fraud prevention, product analytics (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests): protect users and improve the product.
• Tax and accounting (Art. 6(1)(c) — legal obligation).

4. Processors

We rely on trusted processors, by category: payment (Stripe), hosting and database (Supabase), AI provider for readings, transactional email, and product analytics. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.

5. International transfers

Some processors are located outside the EEA/UK. Transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses ({{TRANSFER_MECHANISM}}).

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Examples (placeholder defaults): account data while your account is active and up to {{ACCOUNT_RETENTION_DAYS}} days after deletion; transaction records as required by tax law; analytics in aggregated form; contact messages up to 24 months. We also retain technical error and diagnostic logs (which may include your user ID, the page or action involved, and a scrubbed error message) for up to 90 days, to keep the service secure and reliable.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Children

Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level security on user data, access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email when reasonable. The current effective date is 2026-06-15.
